Cannabis oil is useful for pain management. This is because of the way it interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system. Importantly for pain reduction, this system is partially responsible for pain and inflammation.
Although the research on the medicinal use of cannabis is strong, several studies indicate that the recreational use of cannabis can have persistent adverse effects on mental health. According to a 2013 report published in Frontiers in Psychiatry, depending on how often someone uses, the age of onset, the potency of the cannabis that is used and someone’s individual sensitivity, the recreational use of cannabis may cause permanent psychological disorders. Most recreational users will never be faced with such persistent mental illness, but in some individuals cannabis use leads to undesirable effects, including cognitive impairment, anxiety, paranoia and increased risks of developing chronic psychosis or drug addiction. Before we get into it, a quick breakdown: CBD oil is cannabidiol, an active component of cannabis. You’re probably familiar with another cannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC . . . you know, the stuff that gets you high. There are over 85 cannabinoid compounds in a cannabis plant, but THC is the only one – seriously, just one – that is psychoactive (aka brain altering).

thanks for posting. I have an adult child with chronic migraine. NAC supplementation 2x a day @ 500 mg allowed her to reduce her topamax from 100mg down to 37. we are adding CBD, and also PEA hoping that it will allow her to wean off that drug completely. awful side effects, but it did completely control her daily migraines. When you vape, what kind of dosage is that? She’s a college student hoping she can take a low dose during the day and function of the oil orally.
